The National Archaeological Museum of Naples (MANN) is an archaeological museum, one of the most important in the city of Naples. Boasting the richest and most valuable heritage of works of art and artefacts of archaeological interest in Italy, it is considered one of the most important museums archaeological sites in the world
It is the largest Gothic basilica in the city, characterized by a monastery that includes four monumental cloisters, archaeological excavations in the surrounding area and several other rooms in which the homonymous Opera Museum is housed, which in turn includes in the visit also the chorus of the nuns, with remains of Giotto's frescoes, a grand refectory, the sacristy and other basilic rooms.
The Basilica of San Domenico Maggiore is a monumental church in Naples located almost centrally in relation to the lower decumano, in the square of the same name. Wanted by Charles II of Anjou and erected between 1283 and 1324, it became the parent house of the Dominicans in the kingdom of Naples and church of the aragonese nobility.
